Micron Technology (NASDAQ:MU) brought in more revenue in a single quarter than it did in its entire previous fiscal year. Sales hit $54.23 billion in fiscal Q4 2026, against $11.32 billion a year earlier, and the full year landed at $133.19 billion versus $37.38 billion in fiscal 2025. Yet the stock trades at under 6 times expected earnings. Micron makes memory chips, the DRAM and NAND that store and move data for processors. Its customers range from cloud giants building AI data centers to phone, PC, and carmakers, and its profits rise and fall with memory prices. That last part is the catch. Memory has always been a boom-and-bust business, and investors have learned to sell the boom. The real question isn't whether Micron's results are spectacular. They are. It's whether this cyclical surge makes it a classic fit among 10 High Beta Stocks with Strong Revenue Growth, and whether the boom ends like the others, hinging on something memory makers have rarely had: visibility. Few Players, Big Pricing Power Micron's edge comes from scale and technology in an industry with only a handful of serious producers. Leading-edge memory takes years and enormous sums to build, which keeps new entrants rare. Micron shares that position with a small group that includes South Korean memory giant SK Hynix. When demand outruns supply, those few producers set the price. The proof shows up in margins. Non-GAAP gross margin (which excludes items like stock-based pay) reached 87.0% in fiscal Q4, up from 45.7% a year earlier. Data Centers Take Over The mix shift tells the story. Core Data Center revenue reached $18.00 billion in fiscal Q4, versus $1.58 billion a year earlier, and Cloud Memory added another $16.28 billion. That demand ties Micron tightly to stocks riding AI infrastructure spending; read more about Micron in our list of 11 AI Stocks That Will Go to the Moon. Momentum hasn't stalled. Revenue climbed from $41.46 billion in fiscal Q3 to $54.23 billion in Q4, and management guided for $61.5 billion, plus or minus $1.5 billion, in fiscal Q1 2027, with non-GAAP gross margin of about 86.25%. The more important detail is structural. CEO Sanjay Mehrotra credited Micron's Strategic Customer Agreements, longer-term arrangements with key customers, with adding confidence that its financial performance can last. In past cycles, memory makers often learned about a downturn only once orders dried up. Commitments like these, if they hold, give Micron something closer to a forecast. Cash is piling up. Micron generated $62.31 billion in adjusted free cash flow in fiscal 2026 and ended the year with $73.48 billion in cash and investments.
