President Trump heaped inordinate praise on NVIDIA's CEO, Jensen Huang, earlier today as he bestowed on him the National Medal of Science. And, NVIDIA appears to have reciprocated the gesture by contributing the lion's share of commitments from the tech sector to the so-called Genesis Fund.

Trump lavished effusive praise on Jensen Huang earlier today at the 'Science: A New Golden Age' event, crediting the CEO of NVIDIA for laying the foundations for America's ascendancy in the AI sphere. Trump also awarded Huang, Elon Musk, Google's Sergey Brin, and AMD's Lisa Su the National Medal of Science at today's event.
Meanwhile, NVIDIA has just pledged compute and monetary commitments, collectively worth $1 billion over the next five years, to the so-called Genesis Fund.
For the benefit of those who might not be aware, the Genesis Fund is a part of the Genesis Mission - a major US government initiative launched by President Trump to build a unified, national AI platform that leverages federal supercomputers and vast government datasets to accelerate breakthroughs in science, energy, medicine, and national security.
