The GPU market is about to get worse as system integrators are expecting more price hikes in the coming days. Stince Built Expects Higher GPU Prices in the Near Future as Supply Constraints Tighten Their Grip While Memory Availability Worsens Many vendors have been reportedly struggling to maintain sufficient inventory for PC components like memory, SSDs, and GPUs. This has been going on for nearly one year now, thanks to the RAMpocalypse era that started last year. Not just memory and SSDs have hit all-time-high prices; GPUs have started to become almost unaffordable these days. Looks like the situation could get even worse in the coming months. US-based system integrator Stince Built has stated that GPU availability is limited. The post mentions that it is becoming extremely difficult for the vendor to secure enough GPUs for their PC builds. With growing memory demand for AI and data centers, component pricing and availability have been affected drastically. While the memory and SSDs were already causing a lot of problems for this vendor, the GPU shortage is now another major factor that could lead to higher prices for its PC builds. Stince Built says that it expects GPU prices to climb "significantly" and that these elevated prices could persist for a longer time. This means the vendor won't have any other choice but to pass the increased costs to its customers. GPUs have already risen by nearly 50-60% in price compared to last year, with some GPUs now hitting End of Life. We have already heard earlier today that NVIDIA has reportedly ended production of the RTX 5090, as it now aims to keep the GB202 strictly for the RTX PRO series. The rest of the RTX 50 series SKUs have already witnessed multiple price jumps this year, making them almost unaffordable. Stince Built says that it's trying to secure GPU inventory to keep the costs down, but we know this won't be easy. Recently, AMD also announced one more price hike for its GPUs, and that will further create difficulties for both system integrators like Stince Built and the consumers.
